Project Phases:
Information Architecture & User Experience (UX): Recommendations were provided on the overall site organization and navigation structure, ensuring intuitive pathways for diverse user groups (e.g., separating patient resources from academic papers).
Design & Wireframing: Began with layout sketches and detailed wireframes that prioritized content hierarchy and visual clarity. Worked closely with a developer to plan how site would be built for ease of updating.
Visual System Development: Led the evolution of the site’s design system, which included guiding the consistent development and integration of an evolving series of health illustrations to simplify complex topics and enhance brand recognition.
Front-End Development & QA: After first draft of site was established by a developer, I took on the responsibility of coding, cross-browser compatibility, and testing to guarantee fully responsive design and optimal performance across all mobile and desktop devices.
Key Results & Impact
The project successfully delivered a digital platform that supported SME goals—a structured, credible online resource that accurately reflects and disseminates academic research. The site has grown from 1-page to 10-pages over five years. It continues to evolve and iterate as the audience expands.
